Design and implement manufacturing methods and processes to support quality, production output goals and product cost objectives;
Provide engineering support by troubleshooting manufacturing process and quality problems and implementing timely solutions to maintain continuity of production flow and cost;
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to design and implement manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters;
Monitor and resolve new methods, equipment and procedures to ensure total system efficiencies;
Review and recommend modifications to mechanical drawings and process documentation;
Interface with other manufacturing departments to address and resolve engineering, production and quality issues.

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to interfacing with vendors and outside sales personnel to evaluate, estimate cost, and select purchase parts, tooling, and equipment.

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.  Must possess two (2) years of work experience in the manufacturing or mechanical industries including Statistical Process Control, Kanban and Demand flow, Process Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction, Facility Layout, Capital Equipment Justification and New Product introduction.  Must possess work experience in Six Sigma principles, Lean Manufacturing, 8D problem solving process, and financial accounting/time value of money.
